Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Agriculture has long been a cornerstone of rural economies, particularly in Nigeria, where it supports a significant portion of the population in terms of employment, food production, and income generation. Sokoto South Local Government Area (LGA), with its predominantly agrarian population, is no exception. In recent years, agricultural exhibitions have emerged as vital platforms for showcasing innovations, sharing knowledge, and fostering collaboration among farmers, researchers, and policymakers.
